Rep. Frank Burns August 19, 2013
HARRISBURG, Aug. 19 – State Rep. Frank Burns, D-Cambria/Somerset, said the state Department of Health is offering a local monthly public immunization clinic through the end of the year.
The department will hold the clinic from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on the second Wednesday of the month: Sept. 11, Oct. 9, Nov. 13 and Dec. 11 at the department's local office at 184 Donald Lane, Suite 1, Johnstown.
"This monthly clinic is for people who are uninsured or underinsured, meaning that you either have no insurance or your insurance does not cover the vaccine," Burns said. "If you fit into these categories, I urge to consider making an appointment. This is one way to make sure you and your family are up to date on your vaccinations. Immunizations can prevent diseases, save lives and are one of the most effective ways to stay healthy."
The vaccinations will be offered at low or no cost if you meet the eligibility criteria.
