HARRISBURG, Aug. 14 – State Rep. Frank Burns, D-Cambria/Somerset, said that Conemaugh Township in Somerset County will receive a state grant from the Host Municipal Inspector Grant Program.
The $34,528 grant will be used to reimburse the township for half of the cost of employing a host municipal inspector.
The Host Municipal Inspector Grant Program, within the state Department of Environmental Protection, provides funding for municipalities that host municipal waste landfills, resource recovery (waste to energy) facilities and commercial hazardous waste treatment, storage and disposal facilities.
