Burns' Outdoors/Sportsmen's Expo scheduled for May 18
Rep. Frank Burns May 9, 2013
JOHNSTOWN, May 9 – State Rep. Frank Burns, D-Cambria/Somerset, will host an Outdoors and Sportsmen's Expo next Saturday.
The free event will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 18 in the Young Peoples Community Center, 300 Prave St., Ebensburg.
"You don't have to be a hunter or angler to attend my first ever Outdoors and Sportsmen's Expo," Burns said. "This event is for anyone who likes the great outdoors. The typical sportsmen activities will be featured, but there also will be plenty of information and displays for other outdoor activities, as well – including hiking, bicycling, motorsports, swimming, camping and tourism.
"Pennsylvania has a wealth of fantastic recreational areas, from our state forests to our community parks, and we all benefit from these natural resources."
In attendance will be local and state officials from the Fish and Boat Commission, Game Commission, outdoor vendors and organizations dedicated to the outdoors and sportsmen's activities. Burns and his staff also will be on hand to provide information on state services and answer questions.
Food will be available, and door prizes will be awarded.
