Burns looking for interested organizations, volunteers for planned Sportsmen's Expo
Rep. Frank Burns March 27, 2013
HARRISBURG, March 27 – State Rep. Frank Burns, D-Cambria/Somerset, is planning to hold a Sportsmen's Expo and is seeking interested organizations and volunteers to help with the event.
The event is planned for May 18. Several state entities, including the Pennsylvania Game, and Fish and Boat commissions, are scheduled to attend. Burns also anticipates holding educational seminars and discussions throughout the day on various outdoor activities.
"This will be my first Sportsmen's Expo, and I want to make sure that all outdoor activities are addressed at this event," Burns said. "With summer just around the corner, I believe it's important to provide helpful information on safety and the wealth of outdoor activities in the Commonwealth, from hunting, fishing, boating, hiking and camping to the wonderful natural recreational areas and state resources that are available. Please consider joining me in this."
Any organization or person interested in participating should contact Burns' office at 814-536-8400 by April 15.
"Once more plans become finalized, I will make the details available to the public," Burns said. "Stay tuned!"
