Burns, PA DOH to hold virtual COVID vaccine town hall

Public invited to attend to get answers, facts on vaccine rollout

EBENSBURG, Jan. 21 – On Monday, state Rep. Frank Burns will host a virtual town hall regarding the COVID-19 vaccine rollout in Pennsylvania, with an official from the Pennsylvania Department of Health on hand to provide information and answer questions from the public.

“This is the most important vaccination effort in our lifetimes, and one that has the opportunity to get us back to normal,” Burns said. “I know folks have a lot of questions – I do, too. This is an opportunity to get those answered and find out the facts about the COVID vaccine in PA.”

The northwestern Pennsylvania town hall, scheduled for 12:30 p.m. on Monday, is one in a series being hosted by members of the PA Senate and House. People interested in attending can get more information at www.pasenate.com/vaccine or register directly by following this link.

Burns said it is more vital than ever that the public have correct, accurate and up-to-date information available as the vaccine becomes available in PA. Just earlier this week, the state expanded the eligibility for the program to all adults over 65 or younger Pennsylvanians with certain medical conditions.

While supply of the vaccine remains constricted due to issues at the federal level, information on the vaccines, eligibility and availability is online at https://www.health.pa.gov/topics/disease/coronavirus/Vaccine/Pages/Vaccine.aspx.
