Rep. Frank Burns October 15, 2018 | 4:32 PM
EBENSBURG, Oct. 15 – Wanting Cambria County entities to maximize their potential to receive state funding, state Rep. Frank Burns reminds them applications are being accepted today for the state Transportation Department’s Green Light-Go program.
“Sometimes, after these grants are announced, I hear from municipal and agency officials in the 72nd Legislative District who say they never knew to apply, so I’ve made it one of my missions to let as many of them know as soon and as often as possible,” Burns said. “I once again strongly encourage any municipality that thinks their organization might be eligible to either apply directly, or contact my offices for help."
The Green Light-Go Program provides approximately $40 million annually to assist municipalities with improvements and upgrades to their traffic signal operations. Program details and applications are available at this PennDOT website.
