Rep. Anthony Bellmon joined members of Ceasefire PA- a non-profit organization doing work to prevent gun violence in Pennsylvania- and his colleagues in the PA House of representatives to call for legislative action to keep Pennsylvania's communities safe from gun violence.
Rep. Bellmon joined colleagues in the PA House for a pep rally to cheer on the Philadelphia Eagles before they defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX.
House Bill 1700, which Rep. Anthony Bellmon introduced with Rep. Mary Isaacson was officially signed into law as Act No. 98 of 2024. On January 28, 2025, Governor Josh Shapiro held a ceremonial signing of the bill. This law prohibits disclosing the personally identifiable information of federal judges, judicial officers and their families when there is intent to cause harm or interrupt the person from carrying out their duties.
Rep. Bellmon joined Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker, Philadelphia Councilmember Anthony Phillips, community ventures and community members to celebrate a transformational $23.4 million investment at Lawncrest Recreation Center, which will include a full renovation of the exterior and interior of the rec center, a brand-new playground, new basketball and multi-sport courts, the installation of safety cameras, and more.
Rep. Bellmon, who serves as co-Chair of the PA Safe Caucus, co-hosted a hearing with the House Democratic Policy Committee in Downingtown on gun violence. The group heard from multiple testifiers from organizations working to address gun violence in Pennsylvania.
Rep. Bellmon joined local elected officials, nonprofit organizations and Philadelphia educational leaders at Carnell Elementary School for the ribbon cutting of the school's newly constructed playground. Rep. Bellmon was instrumental in securing state funding to make this project possible.
Rep. Anthony Bellmon hosted his first National night Out event with Rep. Darisha Parker. They were joined by local police and community members for a night filled with fun activities, state resources to benefit constituents, and community bonding.
Rep. Bellmon hosted his first senior fair on Friday, June 16 at Saint Thomas Indian Orthodox Church. He was joined by more than 40 vendors, state and local agencies, departments and nonprofit organizations as over almost 200 senior citizens from all across the 203rd Legislative District stopped by.
