MONROEVILLE, Jan. 28 – State Rep. Brandon Markosek, D-Allegheny, today announced more than $665,000 in state funding for local community and economic development projects in the 25th Legislative District.
“These investments will make a difference in our communities by improving public spaces, enhancing infrastructure, and supporting economic growth,” Markosek said. “From community center upgrades to park renovations and blight removal, this funding will help ensure our neighborhoods remain vibrant and welcoming. I’m proud to help secure these grants and will continue working to bring resources back to our communities.”

Markosek also highlighted two additional grants awarded through the Greenways, Trails, and Recreation Program and the Watershed Restoration and Protection Program:
The Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County administers GEDTF grants to facilitate economic development projects in Allegheny County.
The GTRP and WRPP grants are authorized under Act 13 of 2012 and administered by the Commonwealth Financing Authority.
