MONROEVILLE, Sept. 19 – A $24,000 grant will help the Monroeville Senior Center replace the flooring in its fitness center, state Rep. Brandon Markosek announced today.
Markosek, D-Allegheny, said the funding for this project will cover the cost to remove the current carpet flooring in the Senior Center’s fitness area and install athletic rubber flooring.
“The new fitness center flooring will help the Senior Center meet COVID cleaning standards and allow it to disinfect the floors on a daily basis,” Markosek said. “I’m pleased to assist the Senior Center in securing funding for this project, which will help to protect the health of Monroeville and Pitcairn residents using the facility.”
The grant was administered by the state Department of Community and Economic Development.
