HARRISBURG, Dec. 18 — State Rep. Aerion Abney, D-Allegheny, today announced that nearly $3.8 million in grants has been awarded to 13 projects that will benefit the 19th Legislative District. The grants come from Local Share Account funds and the Greenways, Trails, and Recreation Program, which are distributed by the state’s Commonwealth Financing Authority.
“These are worthwhile projects that will benefit Pittsburgh in many ways,” Abney said. "They will help renovate buildings, create public spaces, and provide ambulance services, among other things. I’m pleased to see these funds distributed back to our city for projects that will improve our quality of life.”
