Kulik announces $1.3 million in state grants for art organization and sewer upgrades

CORAOPOLIS, Dec. 19 – State Rep. Anita Kulik, D-Allegheny, announced more than $1.3 million in state grants that will support a local arts organization and fund sewer system improvements in four communities. 

"I am thrilled to see the state support these communities with vital investments to improve areas of infrastructure to continue to address water and sewer needs for their residents,” Kulik said. “These grants will go a long way toward ensuring access to clean water and proper sanitation for folks who live in these neighborhoods." 

PA Arts and Culture Recovery Program: 

  • $19,452 to Radiant Hall Studios for marketing expenses. Radiant Hall has locations in McKees Rocks, Lawrenceville and Homewood to provide affordable space for artists and creatives. 

H20 PA Program grants: 

  • $437,775 to Robinson Township Municipal Authority for a pump station replacement and upgrades. 

PA Small Water and Sewer program: 

  • $259,250 to Neville Township for a waterline replacement project. 
  • $250,000 to Carnegie Borough for a sewer separation project. 
  • $387,333 to Stowe Township for catch basin replacements. 

The grants were awarded through the Commonwealth Financing Authority. CFA is an independent agency of the state Department of Community and Economic Development, established in 2004 to administer Pennsylvania’s economic stimulus packages.
