This March 2025, we celebrate National Women’s History Month with the theme “Moving Forward Together. Women Educating and Inspiring Generations.”

This year’s theme honors the significant contributions women have made to the American education system, the exchange of ideas, and the foundation of our democracy. It celebrates the collective impact of women who have dedicated their lives to education, mentorship, and leadership. From classrooms to boardrooms, and from local movements to global initiatives, women educators and leaders have been key in shaping minds and driving meaningful change. Their efforts continue to inspire and empower all generations — past, present, and future.

For Pennsylvania to build a brighter future, we must dismantle discrimination and gender bias within our institutions and society.

Too many women in Pennsylvania continue to face the burden of inequality. Women’s History Month is a time to celebrate women’s achievements, yet a key issue often discussed during this period is the ongoing fight for equal pay.

If the annual gender wage gap were eliminated...

A working woman in the U.S. would have enough money for the full cost of tuition and fees for a two year college or enough money to pay off student loan debt in 32 months.

The gender pay gap remains a significant concern despite progress being made towards gender equality. This March, we honor the women who represent our communities and are committed to creating lasting change — challenging the status quo through service, legislation, and advocacy, all with the goal of forging a better tomorrow for Pennsylvania’s women.
