Around the region & upcoming events

Our district office director, Aaron, joined lawmakers, legislative staffers, people with intellectual disabilities and autism, and their families for a meeting hosted by Pennsylvania Advocates and Resources for Autism and Intellectual Disabilities and Citizen Care. The group discussed ways to improve access and quality of services for Pennsylvanians with disabilities.

Aaron also attended a public meeting hosted by the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh’s Homewood branch to hear about the library’s plans for renovations and how they’ll continue service during this time. Visit this page to learn more about the new design changes planned.

There was also discussion about the library’s African American Collection. The library is asking for the community’s input through this survey so that it can continue to enhance the collection and increase its use.
