A huge thank you to my incredible staff, volunteers, and community members for everything they have done over the past two weeks!
Last week, we hosted our annual Senior Fair, and this week we held TWO Town Halls in the district—one in Jenkintown and another just last night in Springfield, bringing together residents from across the entire district.
As you will often hear me say, I cannot do this alone. Events like our Senior Fair and Town Halls take an incredible amount of planning, preparation, coordination, and teamwork. They simply would not be possible without the dedicated staff, volunteers, and community members who give their time and energy to make them happen.
I am incredibly grateful to everyone who helped, attended, asked questions, shared concerns, and took the time to engage with our office.
Thank you for being an active part of our community and for helping make these events such a success!

This week in Harrisburg, I want to make sure you know how I’m working to address the issues that matter most to you, your family, and our community.
This week, I voted on a number of bills focused on protecting Pennsylvanians, expanding access to healthcare, strengthening public safety, and standing up for consumers, as well as giving Pennsylvanians a greater voice in our government. Here are some of the highlights:
Expanding participation in Pennsylvania's primaries
One of the most significant votes this week was on legislation to open Pennsylvania’s primary elections to voters who are not affiliated with a political party. HB 280 passed the House (115-88). Under the legislation, voters registered as unaffiliated would be able to choose which party’s primary they participate in, rather than being excluded from the primary process.
Expanding access to healthcare
Families facing serious medical treatments should not have to worry about losing the ability to have children in the future. I voted to require insurance coverage for medically necessary fertility preservation when treatments such as cancer care could cause infertility.
I also supported expanding access to flu, pneumonia, and RSV vaccines for certain patients following a hospital stay or during ongoing medical care. (HB 2649, 172-31; HB 2378, 157-46)
Protecting consumers and our communities
Utility costs affect every household. I supported legislation requiring the Public Utility Commission to consider the public interest—including affordability and reliable service—when making decisions about utility rates. I also voted to establish statewide standards for home inspectors. (HB 2184, 150-53; HB 2645, 190-13)
Strengthening public safety
As Pennsylvania continues to see growth in data centers, we need to make sure local emergency responders have the information they need. I supported requiring data center operators to provide emergency floor plans to local building officials and fire chiefs before receiving an occupancy certificate. (HB 2535, 187-16).
I also voted to give individuals with communication barriers the option to indicate that on their driver's license or identification card, helping facilitate better interactions with law enforcement. (HB 1700, 203-0).
Keeping our schools prepared
Every parent deserves to know that their child's school is prepared to respond in an emergency. I supported legislation directing schools to consider silent panic alarm systems as part of their emergency response plans. (HB 634, 200-3).
Every vote I cast is an opportunity to stand up for the people I represent. Whether the issue is healthcare, public safety, affordability, or emerging technology, I will continue working to make sure your voice is heard in Harrisburg.
Thank you for staying engaged, sharing your concerns, and giving me the opportunity to represent you. Please continue to reach out and let me know what issues are important to you and your family. Your input helps shape the work I do every day.
I’m honored to serve you and look forward to keeping you informed about what’s happening in Harrisburg each week.

Looking for a New Best Friend?
Stop by and See Liv!
|
Meet Liv - a sweet senior girl looking for her forever home. ??
Five years ago, Liv was rescued from a puppy mill and found a loving family who cherished her. Sadly, her adopter recently passed away unexpectedly, and his family was unable to keep her. Now, at almost 10 years old, Liv is back in our care and looking for a family to love once again.
Liv is a happy, social, chunky monkey who has adjusted remarkably well despite this heartbreaking change. But she belongs in a home, not a kennel. She deserves a soft bed, leisurely walks, plenty of treats, and someone who will shower her with the love and companionship she's used to.
Senior dogs have so much love left to give, and we know Liv's perfect family is out there. If you're looking for an easygoing, loving companion, Liv may be the girl you've been waiting for. ??
Could you be the family Liv has been waiting for?
Liv will be spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and 4DX tested.
Adoption Fee: $400
