Have you ever heard an expression that makes absolutely no sense, or means the opposite of what it sounds like? English can be funny that way. I’m not just talking about expressions that we misquote like “I could care less.” Sometimes the English language and our colloquialisms are befuddling! Where am I going with this random musing?
That thought stuck with me as I wrapped up last week’s message, which I called part one of a two-part reflection. In it, I looked back on the challenges of 2025 and thanked everyone who weathered that year with grace and compassion. You were built for just such a time as that. But 2025 is now behind us.
So, let’s let 2026 get the best of us.
Not in a bruising, beat-down way, but in the best way possible. Let’s bring our strongest effort, clearest intentions, and highest expectations into this new year.
Let’s stand in the gap for one another, remembering that what we do for ourselves can have real, and oftentimes unintended, impacts on our neighbors. Let’s do right by our veterans in 2026, as our nation marks its 250th birthday.
And let’s build on what we proved in 2025: that government can move past the status quo. Together, we can advance legislation that reaches the Governor’s desk and delivers the positive change our communities deserve.
Let’s make sure 2026 tells the story of our growth—together.

I may not have gotten everything right with my NFL regular season prediction back in August (the Commanders and Lions fell back to mediocrity), but I sure did predict an 11-6 record and division title for the Birds. Now our playoff run is here!!! ??

We added a new (very calm, very judgmental) member to the office this week. Meet our new office betta fish! ?? He is settling in nicely and already bringing good vibes to the workspace.
Now comes the important part... this fish needs a name! Have a great idea? Send us your name suggestions by email or on social media, by 5p.m. on Thursday, January 15th. We'll announce his name in next week's email.
No policy debates required. Just fish names.

In 2025 our office focused on turning constituent needs into measurable results.
As shown here, we helped return money to residents through Property Tax and Rent Rebates and unclaimed property, answered thousands of emails, resolved PennDOT service requests, secured disability placards, processed license plates, and helped hundreds of seniors complete SEPTA Senior Fare Card applications.
We also connected with neighbors across the district through events and ongoing outreach.
|
Beyond what is shown in the graphics, our office helped bring $2,421,078.89 in state grant funding back to the district to support local governments, organizations, and projects.
In total, we provided 6,364 constituent services and hosted or participated in 31 community events throughout the year.
In Harrisburg, I cast 793 votes, reflecting a consistent record of engagement and accountability.
|
These numbers matter, but they are not the finish line. In 2026, our goal is to build on this work by helping more residents, hosting more community events, and continuing to deliver real results for the 154th District.
If you need assistance, contacting our office can make the process easier. Our team works directly with agency liaisons, real people who help us follow up and make sure issues do not fall through the cracks.
PennDOT requests can often be expedited and tracked, whether you are dealing with vehicle registrations, duplicate titles, or disability placards.
Seniors (65+) can also apply for SEPTA Senior Fare Cards through our office, without needing to travel to Center City.
We can not only help you recover unclaimed property with less hassle but also expedite the process. When claims are submitted through our office, they are processed approximately 70% faster than filings submitted independently, thanks to our ability as a legislative office to follow up and advocate on your behalf.
Give us a call and see how we can assist you!
