Zabel Appointed to Subcommittee on Crime and Corrections

State Rep. Mike Zabel, D-Delaware, announced his appointment to serve on the House Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on Crime and Corrections for the 2019-2020 legislative session.

The subcommittee provides a more specialized look at issues related to crime, corrections and criminal justice reform. The subcommittee may work with issues involving the Board of Probation and Parole, Department of Corrections, Commission on Sentencing, Pennsylvania State Police, as well as the Attorney General.

“Working to ensure the fairness of our justice system and safety of our neighborhoods is one of the reasons I ran for office,” said Zabel. “Issues related to crime, corrections and criminal justice reform are wide ranging and I am looking forward to working with other members on this subcommittee to take a comprehensive look at these issues and work together for the benefit of all Pennsylvanians.”

Zabel, a first-term state representative, also serves on the Commerce Committee and Environmental Resources and Energy Committee.
