Zabel announces Family Resource Fair for Saturday, June 12
DREXEL HILL, May 26 – State Rep. Mike Zabel, D-Delaware, will host a Family Resource Fair on Saturday, June 12 to provide residents with information on valuable services and programs. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. and run through 10 p.m. at Arlington Cemetery, 2900 State Road, Drexel Hill.
“In the wake of the pandemic, I wanted to provide working families with the information they need about valuable programs that can have a positive effect on their lives and their households,” Zabel said.
Zabel’s staff and local organizations will be on hand to share information about CHIP, food insecurity assistance, WIC, early intervention, heating and energy assistance, rental assistance, internet safety, affordable childcare, mental health, bully prevention and much more.
All CDC, social distancing and safety guidelines will be followed.
“Since this is a family event, friends and neighbors are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs and enjoy a showing of Disney’s Frozen II – which is scheduled to begin at 8:15 p.m.,” Zabel said.
The event will be held in conjunction with Child Guidance Resources and Grands Stepping Up. The sponsors for the event will be TruMark Financial Credit Union, Independenc Blue Cross (IBX) and Aetna.
In the advent of inclement weather, the rain date for the event will be Saturday, June 26 – at the same time and location.
