With the start of the new school year underway, Rep. Youngblood held her annual Back to School Community Resource Fair on Aug. 20.
The aim of the event was to help students and parents prepare for the new school year, and provide resources to help meet the challenges of preparing our students for a life of learning.
The event was well attended, with more than 300 people participating and enjoying the games, attractions and resources available for children, parents and guardians. It was an excellent opportunity for constituents to see the multitude of local and state programs designed to help ensure that our students are able to take full advantage of educational opportunities.
In addition, Rep. Youngblood was pleased to provide 300 backpacks filled with school supplies to area students to help them kickoff the new school year.
