Rep. Dan Williams January 17, 2025
Dear Neighbor,
In this week’s e-newsletter, I’m kicking off a video series about how my faith inspired me to enter political life and how it has shaped the issues I care about most. I’m also sharing with you information about government programs that I hope you will find helpful, such as the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program, which just opened for 2025.
Last week, MyChesCo ran an article on my leadership in the House. You can read the article here: Rep. Dan Williams’ Bold Leadership Stands to Transform Lives and Shape Pennsylvania’s Future—Here’s What It Means for You.
Faith Guided Me to Serve My Community
In this short video, I share with you how my faith has guided me to serve the public my entire life. I ran to be your state representative because I needed to put words into action and improve people’s lives — from ensuring all kids have access to a great education, to keeping our seniors in their homes and to making wages more equitable.
PTRR: More Money Back in the Pockets of Chester County’s Seniors
The Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program has made it easier for older friends and neighbors here in Chester County to stay in their homes and afford groceries, medicine, and so much more.
The application period for the 2025 program has just opened, and I’m here to help you find out if you’re eligible and apply for your rebate. Thanks to changes we made in 2023 more people are eligible and rebate amounts have increased.
You can stop by my office, send me an email, or call at (484) 200-8256. While you’re there, we’ll see what other state programs and services are available for you.

Reduced Retired Vehicle Registration Income Limit Increase
The annual income-eligibility threshold for a retired Pennsylvanian to qualify for a reduced vehicle registration fee has been increased, allowing more people to be eligible for this benefit. If your annual income is $29,906 or less, you are retired, and you are receiving Social Security or other pension payments, you can qualify for the current $11 reduced rate registration fee.
For assistance with this process, please stop by my office or give the office a call at (484) 200-8256.
Direct File Coming to PA
This year more than 2 million Pennsylvanians are eligible to use Direct File, the IRS's tool that allows you to file your federal and state tax returns online securely and for free. The IRS launched this tool last year, but 2025 is the first year PA residents are able to use it.
Check to see if you are eligible to use Direct File at https://directfile.irs.gov/.
