Rep. Tarik Khan July 3, 2024 | 9:48 AM
There are more than 1.2 million Pennsylvanians facing food insecurity. PA state Rep. Tarik Khan's legislation would help more families struggling to get access to healthy & nutritious foods while also preventing unnecessary waste by allowing unspoiled food that has passed its best-by date to be donated to food banks and other charitable organizations. Khan says he is excited that the bill advanced out of the House Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee, and hopes to see it voted on by the #PAHouse soon.
