Pielli chosen as next Legislative Fellow at West Chester University

WEST CHESTER, Nov. 21 – State Rep. Chris Pielli, D-Chester, has accepted an invitation to serve as the next Legislative Fellow at West Chester University.

The Legislative Fellow Program was established at West Chester University along with other colleges within the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education in 2001 to help build bridges between lawmakers and the faculty, staff, and students who are part of these universities. The goal of the program is to foster communication and understanding by having students work with a state legislator on both classroom and extracurricular projects.

“I am excited for this new opportunity,” Pielli said. “West Chester University houses some of the best and brightest students in all of Pennsylvania. I consider this a great honor to be chosen as the next legislative fellow. Describing the storied history of the legislature is no easy task, but I look forward to tackling this challenge together with the students of Dr. John Kennedy’s class.”

State Rep. Danielle Friel Otten, D-Chester, served as West Chester University’s legislative fellow for the 2022-24 academic cycles. Pielli will start participating with Dr. John Kennedy’s PSC 335 – Pennsylvania Government and Politics class in the upcoming Spring 2025 semester.
