HARRISBURG, July 15 – State Reps. Joe Ciresi, D-Montgomery, and Liz Hanbidge, D-Montgomery, just introduced a bill that would provide economic relief to Pennsylvania businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
House Bill 2703 will delay annual registration fees for Limited Liability Companies, Limited Liability Partnerships, Limited Liability Limited Partnerships and Restricted Professional Limited Liability Companies to Dec. 31, 2020.
“The coronavirus outbreak created so much uncertainty, not only for individuals and families, but for businesses across the Commonwealth,” Ciresi said. “Because of so many businesses being closed for so long and now operating at reduced capacity, paying the annual registration fee can be difficult. This legislation provides relief by pushing back the payment until their financial situation improves.”
Said Hanbidge: “This small delay in paying registration fees can help our small business owners who are in need. Legislation like this is important to help protect our workforce and keep struggling businesses afloat."
House Bill 2703 will be assigned to committee for further review and discussion.
