CARMICHAELS, Oct. 15 – State Rep. Pam Snyder will host a House Democratic Policy Committee public hearing on the sharp decline in the number of volunteer firefighters at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18 at the Richeyville Volunteer Fire Co. Hall, 14 Firehall Road, Richeyville, 15358.
Snyder, D-Greene/Fayette/Washington, will be joined by House Democratic Policy Committee Chairman Mike Sturla, D-Lancaster, and other committee members. They will hear testimony from state and local officials about the seriousness of this problem and what might be done to rectify it.
