Rep. Josh Siegel May 14, 2024 | 4:09 PM
HARRISBURG, May 14 – State Rep. Josh Siegel announced that a $14,089 state grant has been awarded to help improve a senior community center in his district.
“The Casa Guadalupe Center offers much to our community,” Siegel said. “They are a non-profit, community-based organization established to meet the needs of primarily the Latino residents of the Lehigh Valley. It offers health, education and social services for people of all ages, from children to the elderly and everyone in between. Casa works in partnership with other organizations in the community to promote economic empowerment, social mobility and civic participation of all residents in the Lehigh Valley. I am proud that they were able to secure this competitive grant.”
The Casa Guadalupe Center is one of 45 Senior Community Centers from 26 counties across the state that received funding from $2 million in competitive grants, ensuring older adults are supported in familiar, local places with services to stay healthy and connected to their communities.
The grant funding is appropriated by the General Assembly with proceeds from the Pennsylvania Lottery.
