E-Blast: Swearing-In, 3D Gun Bills & more!

Swearing In!

This week marked the beginning of the 2025-26 House Session, and I once again took the oath of office to serve the great people of the 157th Legislative District. It's an honor and privilege to be your voice in Harrisburg, and I'm already working on legislation to create safer neighborhoods, invest in our schools, and promote economic development in our community. I look forward to another productive session with my colleagues as we work together to "GSD" for all Pennsylvanians.

Regulating Ghost Guns

One of my priorities for this session is to tackle the growing problem of "ghost guns." Currently, 3D-printed firearms are not regulated in Pennsylvania, but they shoot like a gun, and they can kill like a gun. It’s only common sense we should ensure 3D-printed firearms are not exempt from the laws and regulations governing their manufacture, sale, and use.

The criminal use of ghost guns is increasing at an alarming rate. Law enforcement is asking for the tools they need to protect themselves and our communities from gun violence.

Recently, I sat down with Public News Service to discuss the growing need for this regulation. You can read that article through the link here

Turnpike Open Tolling Begins

You may have noticed the new overhead gantries installed along the Pennsylvania Turnpike. These gantries are part of the transition to Open Road Tolling (ORT), which will be fully implemented by 2027.

This new system identifies vehicles from overhead, allowing travelers to continue their journeys without stopping to pay tolls. ORT is already in operation east of Reading and on the Northeast Extension. Customers are encouraged to properly place their E-ZPass transponder under the rearview mirror and ensure their account information is up-to-date.

Changes in Business License Filings

Business owners! Did you know you're now required to file an annual report with the Pennsylvania Department of State?

Business owners can find a step-by-step filing guide and other resources regarding annual reports on the Department’s website. They can also call the Department’s dedicated telephone line for questions about annual reports: 717-787-1057, option 5.

Office Info

My office has moved! You can now find us at 1536 E. Lancaster Ave., Suite 200, in Paoli!  Stop by for a Senior SEPTA pass, assistance with PennDOT, birth certificates, unclaimed property, and more!

A reminder that my staff and I continue to hold mobile office hours every third Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Easttown Library, and every fourth Thursday of the month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Schuylkill Township Building.

2024 Tax Forms Available

The tax return deadline will be here before you know it! In about 2 weeks, my District Office will have PA tax forms available so you can be prepared to file before the April 15 deadline!

Session in Review

Over the past two years, my team and I have been able to help thousands of constituents - but there is so much more work to do. Thank you for your continued support as we begin a new session in Harrisburg!

Sincerely,
