Sappey to host town hall on redistricting reform
HARRISBURG, Aug. 1 – State Rep. Christina Sappey will host a town hall on redistricting reform with Fair Districts PA at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8 at the West Goshen Township Building, 1025 Paoli Pike in West Chester.
The event will update residents on efforts to address gerrymandering at the state level.
Redistricting, or the redrawing of geographic boundaries of state and congressional legislative districts, will happen following the 2020 U.S. Census report.
“Unfortunately, in recent years Pennsylvania has been affected by the unfair practice of drawing legislative districts to favor one party,” said Sappey, D-Chester. “This event is an opportunity for residents to learn about the process, ask questions and get an update on current legislation that would address gerrymandering.”
