Samuelson: Bethlehem office sponsoring March 20 veterans outreach
Nonprofit group, county office to provide information on benefits, housing
BETHLEHEM, March 10 – State Rep. Steve Samuelson, D-Northampton, today said an outreach effort focusing on veterans’ benefits and housing will be conducted from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, March 20, at his downtown office, 104 E. Broad St., Bethlehem.
Freddie Ramirez Jr., director of Northampton County’s Office of Veterans Affairs, and Community Hope, a regional nonprofit organization that sponsors “Hope for Veterans” programs, will be available to assist veterans and their families.
“My staff and I are eager to provide this free forum for our military heroes and their families,” Samuelson said. “My staff also will be available to provide information and answer questions – in English and Spanish -- about programs for veterans.
“Veterans and military families with questions about benefits or facing housing issues are encouraged to attend the session,” Samuelson continued. “The goal is to make access to benefits and information as convenient as possible.”
