COVID-19 testing in nursing homes

This week, the Wolf administration issued a universal testing order for nursing homes, requiring that all nursing homes complete baseline testing by July 24.
The goal is to quickly identify asymptomatic positive residents, manage their care, and prevent further spread.
Updated guidance was also issued for long-term care facilities.

Restrictions remain in place in nursing homes in yellow and green phase counties and most likely will be the last restrictions lifted to keep those vulnerable residents safe.
