House adopts Readshaw resolution marking American Education Week in Pennsylvania

HARRISBURG, Jan. 13 – House Resolution 606, introduced by state Rep. Harry Readshaw, D-Allegheny, was unanimously adopted by the House today.

Readshaw explained that H.R. 606 reaffirms the state’s commitment to a thriving education system that prepares Pennsylvania’s children to grow into the leaders of the future.

“Providing a quality education is one way of ensuring today’s youth are tomorrow’s innovators,” Readshaw said. “It’s vitally important to recognize and promote the central role of education to our society and our economy across all occupational areas as we work to ensure we’re positioned to best compete with others in the U.S. and on the global stage.”
