Rabb takes oath for third term
HARRISBURG, Jan. 5 – State Rep. Chris Rabb took the oath of office at the state Capitol today to begin his third term representing the 200th District in Philadelphia.
The noon swearing-in ceremony marked the beginning of the 2021-22 session of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
Rabb is the founding chairperson of the Pennsylvania House Democratic Caucus Equity Committee and a member of several other committees and caucuses.
Among his priorities, Rabb said he will continue to focus on enhancing equity within, for and by the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and all the people of Pennsylvania; reducing the effects of climate change and working toward 100% renewable energy in Pennsylvania; social justice; and police accountability.
“I am proud of the strides I’ve been able to make for the people of Pennsylvania over the last legislative session – especially the enactment of legislation to improve police accountability and safety,” Rabb said. “I have always believed in the power of public policy, civic literacy and grassroots co-governance to improve people’s lives, and seeing folks across Pennsylvania more engaged than ever gives me renewed hope of what we can accomplish in the session ahead.”
Rabb said his office can help with a variety of state-related services, including home heating, children’s health insurance, prescription drug and property tax/rent rebate assistance. The phone number is 215-242-7300.
