Heating assistance available
It’s important that you’re able to stay warm in your home! Applications are available for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). This program can help you keep warm and safe during this time of year by helping with your heating bill. For more information on this program and to apply, contact my office at 570-420-2850 or visit here.
Give your input about Pike County Light & Power
The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission has scheduled four public input hearings in mid-March to gather public input on proposed rate changes by Pike County Light & Power for both natural gas and electric distribution services. Read the full article here for more details.
PennDOT wants your feedback
PennDOT and the State Transportation Commission are requesting public feedback from Pennsylvanians to update the 12-Year Program. The public comment period is open until April 30. Use the website here to participate!

Reminder to file your taxes
The deadline to file your taxes is April 15 and I wanted to remind you of a state program that I voted to expand: the state’s Child/Dependent Care Enhancement Tax Credit. This credit can help reduce your expenses for child and dependent care. This credit ranges from $600 to $2,100 and will match the federal amount 100%. Check here for more information.
Direct file now available
Save hundreds of dollars by using Direct File to file your state and federal taxes online. Check here for more information.
Grants will help keep pedestrians safe
