Mayes, Powell to host ‘The Giving Season’ Thanksgiving food and maternal health resource event

PITTSBURGH, Nov. 18 – Rep. La’Tasha D. Mayes and Rep. Lindsay Powell will host The Giving Season, a Thanksgiving food and maternal health resource event, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22 at Salem’s Market, 1850 Centre Ave., in the Hill District.

This event is to connect neighbors to state resources, turkeys and maternal health resources during the holiday season on a first-come basis, while supplies last.

Staff will also be available to provide assistance with state resources such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, known as SNAP, the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program and Property Tax/Rent Rebates.
