Make your voice heard on PECO's proposed rate increases

Everyday Americans shouldn’t be forced to pay the price for corporate rate hikes. It’s time Pennsylvania families were put first.

At a time when working families are already struggling to afford groceries, rent, and everyday essentials, PECO has proposed steep increases to electric and natural gas rates — raising electric bills by 12.5% and gas bills by 11.4%. If approved, this would cost households an average of more than $30 extra each month.

Pennsylvanians are already facing higher utility costs, in part driven by growing energy demands like data centers that are not paying their fair share. Asking families to shoulder yet another double-digit increase is unacceptable.

No one should have to choose between paying their utility bills and putting food on the table. This proposal would place an even greater burden on working- and middle-class households who are already stretched thin.

Join us in calling on PECO and state regulators to reject this proposal and stand up for Pennsylvania consumers.

Dear PUC commissioner,

I respectfully request you deny PECO’s request to raise my electric rates. While I understand the need to improve and maintain the grid, the public simply cannot afford any more.
