Dear Neighbor,

I hope you all had a wonderful and restful holiday this past week, surrounded by loved ones and moments of joy. As we move forward into the new year, I want to take a moment to wish you all a very happy, healthy, and prosperous 2025. May this year bring you happiness, peace, and many opportunities for growth.

As we reflect on the year that has passed and look ahead to the future, I also want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our first responders, who work round-the-clock 365 days a year to serve and protect us. Their dedication, hard work, and selflessness are an inspiration to us all. We are incredibly fortunate to have such brave men and women who go above and beyond to ensure our safety and well-being, often at great personal sacrifice.

Let’s continue to support and appreciate them as we embark on this new year together. I look forward to all that lies ahead for our community in 2025.

Office Hours Alert

Please note that my office will be closed on December 31st and January 1st. Normal office hours will resume on January 2nd.

Additionally, there will be no Springfield Mobile Office Hours on December 31st or on January 7th. My Media office will be open on January 7th but will be closed on January 8th due to rescheduled staff training. Thank you for your understanding.

Blood Drive

Did you know that every 2 seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood? By donating blood, you can save lives and make a real difference in your community. Whether it’s for patients undergoing surgery, accident victims, or those battling serious illnesses, your donation is critical.

My office has teamed up with Red Cross to host a blood drive at Morton Borough Hall on Friday, January 24th from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Appointments can be made by visiting https://www.redcrossblood.org/ using code RepJenniferOMara.

Chanukah Village

Join Chabad of Delaware County SUNDAY, DECEMBER 29TH as State Street in Media is transformed into a magical Chanukah Village!

There’s fun for everyone from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., including Chanukah Cookie Decorating, DIY Dreidels, Chanukah Story Trail, Face Art, The Great Chanukah Gelt Drop, Latkes, and more! And don’t miss the 9th Annual Grand Menorah Lighting at the Courthouse!

PTRR Deadline – Don’t miss out

Deadline Alert! The Dec. 31 deadline to apply for the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program is right around the corner. Make sure that you don’t miss the opportunity to get some money back on property taxes or rent paid in the prior year. It’s quick and easy to apply online: https://www.pa.gov/PTRR.

Media is ringing in the New Year on TUESDAY, DECEMBER 31, 2024 starting at 11 p.m. for the iconic ball drop! Stop by State Street as Delaware County’s very own famous glowing orb is lowered from more than 100 feet above Media's Spasso Italian Grill!
