HERMITAGE, Jan. 24 – The city of Hermitage has been awarded $337,249 to fund transportation and housing rehabilitation projects, state Rep. Mark Longietti announced today.
Longietti, D-Mercer, said the funding from the Department of Community and Economic Development will help finance two separate projects.
“Securing this funding is going to help Hermitage address some important resident needs,” Longietti said. “Some of the money will fund roadway repaving and stormwater improvements on Concord Road, Trace Street, Meadowbrook Road and Shadyside Drive, in Hermitage. Additional grant money will fund a project to rehabilitate about seven single-family, owner-occupied homes.”
The funding comes from the Community Development Block Grant Program and is part of a package of more than $2.1 million awarded to projects statewide.
