Mullins sworn in to first term as Pa. legislator

HARRISBURG, Jan. 1 – Standing in a crowded House chamber with his wife, Lauren, and son, Conor, by his side, Kyle J. Mullins today took the oath of office to lead Pennsylvania’s 112th Legislative District.

“It is the honor of my life to earn the trust placed in me by the men and women of the great 112th District,” Mullins said. “And rest assured, it is my pledge to live up to and honor that trust each day.”

Mullins plans to begin working day one toward his ambitious plans to strengthen and protect communities, and to make northeastern Pennsylvania a better place to live, to work and to raise a family.

“I recognize the challenges we face in northeastern Pennsylvania and across the state, and I feel ready to deliver on the solutions and opportunities before us. I also recognize that these challenges will not be met easily or quickly, but they will be met,” Mullins said. “I know that what gets me – and so many of my great colleagues in the House of Representatives – up in the morning is a desire to improve the lives of ordinary men and women who make our communities great.”

Mullins will serve a two-year term in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives representing the 112th District, which includes Archbald, Blakely, Dunmore, Jessup, Olyphant, Throop and parts of Scranton.

Mullins has a local constituent services office in the Dunmore Community Center at 1414 Monroe Ave., where constituents can go or call 570-342-2710 for assistance with any state issue or program.
