Celebrating Black History in Pennsylvania

This month marks the 100th anniversary of Black History Month. We honor a century of recognizing Black History Month by celebrating extraordinary contributions, resilience, and sacrifices of Black Americans who have shaped the course of our nation over the past 100 years and beyond. Black History Month isn’t just about honoring the past, it’s about learning from it. Our faith, resilience, and roots have carried us through injustice and continue to guide how we live, lead, and serve today.

Governor Shapiro’s Budget Address

Last week, Gov. Shapiro gave his annual budget address, laying out his priorities for the upcoming state budget. This is a budget plan that focuses on alleviating the financial pain of many hardworking Pennsylvanians who are currently living paycheck to paycheck. In recent years, PA House Democrats have made historic investments in education, maternal health and tax relief, and we’ve strengthened our workforce with better training programs which supports our economic growth.

Everything we’ve accomplished laid the groundwork for this year’s budget.
