STROUDSBURG, Dec. 10 – In keeping with her commitment to bring home much-needed advocacy funding, state Rep. Maureen Madden, D-Monroe, said a $46,990 grant from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency has been awarded to the Child Advocacy Center of Monroe County.
“The Children’s Advocacy Center of Monroe County is dedicated to reducing the occurrence and aftermath of child abuse, while improving the health, welfare and safety of children and families,” Madden said. “Children who have been abused need to be heard. Through multidisciplinary teams of professionals involved in child protective services, children at CAC can get that assistance in a non-threatening environment.”
