MONROE, Jan. 7 – State Rep. Maureen Madden, D-Monroe, is instrumental in getting nearly $5K grants to three senior centers in Monroe County.
The three grants are administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging.
The agencies awarded the grants are:
“I am pleased the senior centers received this grant funding because they serve as a gateway to Monroe County’s mature population especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, connecting older adults to vital community services that assist them in staying healthy and independent,” Madden said.
Madden said in addition to providing a nutritious meal, centers offer social activities, a range of informative programs, creative arts, exercise, volunteer opportunities, community services, and other special events which are unique to individual centers.
