Rep. Daley announces $10 million in project grants to Conshohocken

HARRISBURG, Aug. 2 – State Rep. Mary Jo Daley, D-Montgomery, announced Friday the approval of two Redevelopment Assistance Capitol Program grants for projects within her 148th Legislative District.

The applicants – AmerisourceBergen Corp. and River Crossing Elm LP – were approved for a total of $10 million administered by the Office of the Budget and funded by the state to help generate employment, tax revenues and other forms of economic activity.

AmerisourceBergen, which operates its headquarters and related functions out of multiple leases in southeastern Pennsylvania, has been approved for $8 million to lease a new built-to-suit 429,000-square-foot facility. The project involves new construction, tenant improvements, equipment and furnishing of the facility.

River Crossing will receive $2 million to help create that facility in downtown Conshohocken. It will include first-floor retail space and a 150-key hotel with rooftop lounge, a parking facility and various other amenities, as well as the AmerisourceBergen headquarters.

“These projects not only serve to improve downtown Conshohocken by bringing new restaurants, stores, a hotel and more than 1,500 new parking spaces, they keep jobs and economic stability in our community,” Daley said.
