Longietti: Greenville office to resume ‘Satellite Saturday’ hours

By-appointment services every other Saturday begin March 13

GREENVILLE, March 3 – Residents in the Seventh Legislative District will be able to schedule appointments at state Rep. Mark Longietti’s Greenville satellite office on alternative Saturdays beginning March 13.

Longietti, D-Mercer, said he is opening his office at 182 Main St. (Chamber of Commerce building) for some Saturday hours to provide greater convenience for residents unable to visit during the work week.

“For many residents, more time spent at home because of COVID-19 restrictions does not necessarily translate to a less-complicated schedule,” Longietti said. “With the pandemic making life difficult in so many ways, my staff and I are trying to do what we can to assist folks who have limited weekday options. Residents found ‘Satellite Saturdays’ helpful in the fall, so we are bringing them back for the spring.

“My satellite office staff can assist with a range of services, including helping residents file applications for property tax or rent rebates, heating assistance and other forms of assistance as new state programs become available. The office will be following COVID-19 safety protocols, and residents are asked to wear a mask while there.”

Longietti said the satellite office will be open Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. by appointment only on the following dates:

  • March 13 and 27.
  • April 10 and 24.
  • May 8 and 22.
  • June 12 and 26.

Residents wishing to schedule a Saturday appointment should call the satellite office at (724) 588-1005 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
