STATE PROGRAMS NOW OPEN FOR APPLICATIONS:
Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture: Urban Agricultural Infrastructure Grant Program (Funding Source: General Fund)
Who May Apply: An individual, partnership, association, business, or municipal government.
Use: Projects that grow agricultural infrastructure in urban food deserts to improve access to fresh, local food and provide opportunities for hands-on learning, community-building, and for people to become social entrepreneurs. Community gardens are eligible projects.
Funds: Micro-grants up to $2,500 in matching funds for one-time projects or a single entity applicant. Collaboration grants up to $50,000 in matching funds. A total of $500,000 is available statewide.

Pennsylvania Commission on Crime & Delinquency: Pennsylvania Academic and Career/Technical Training (PACTT) Grant (Funding Source: General Fund)
Who May Apply: This is a non-competitive solicitation that is limited to privately operated residential facilities, community-based providers, and juvenile probation offices that are existing PACTT Affiliates.
Use: To improve services for delinquent youth receiving academic and career/technical training to help them catch up and succeed in school. A goal of the grant is to become a PACTT affiliate, which enables eligibility for future funding.
Funds: Grants up to $20,000.

Pennsylvania Department of Transportation: Multimodal Transportation Fund (Funding Source: Multimodal Transportation Fund)
Who May Apply: Municipalities, council of governments, business/non-profit organizations, economic development organizations, public transportation agencies, public airports, airport authorities, and ports and rail entities.
Use: To coordinate local land use with transportation assets to enhance existing communities; improve streetscape, lighting, sidewalk facilities, and pedestrian safety; improve connectivity or utilization of existing transportation assets; or advance transit-oriented-development.
Funds: Grants shall normally not exceed $3,000,000 for any project. PENNDOT grants some exceptions. There is a 30% local match requirement, which PENNDOT may waive for municipalities.

Pennsylvania Governor’s Office of Advocacy and Reform/United Way of PA: Local Innovations in Vaccine Equity in Pennsylvania project (LIVE PA) (Funding Source: Federal Funding)
Who May Apply: Any faith-based and non-profit organizations with a goal of administering COVID-19 vaccinations, as well as COVID-19 education and outreach.
Use: To host and promote vaccination events. Additional vaccines may also be requested.
Funds: Mini-grants that will range from $400 to $40,000 per vaccination event (with a reimbursement rate of $10 per shot achieved and a matching rate of $10 per direct person-to-person outreach).

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO): Comprehensive Community Approaches Preventing Substance Use (Funding Source: Federal Funding)
Who May Apply: The ideal applicant will have a strong partnership with one or more community organizations (e.g., public health, behavioral health providers, school systems, foster care system, healthcare, public safety, first responders or health and human services).
Use: To support the implementation of evidence-based approaches to prevent overdose, substance use disorders (SUD), adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), and other potentially traumatic events in the homes and families of those most at risk of overdose.
Funds: Up to $450,000 per award. Up to seven applications will be awarded.

- Fire companies, rescue companies and emergency medical services throughout the 40 counties in which unconventional gas wells are located, or counties that directly border those counties. – Training, professional certification or the acquisition of specialized equipment for emergency responses relating to natural gas production from unconventional gas wells.
DEP Coastal Zone Grants: October 18 (Funding Source: Federal Funds)
- Counties, municipalities, county and regional planning agencies, incorporated nonprofit organizations, school districts, intermediate units, universities and colleges, incorporated conservation and educational organizations, conservation districts, port authorities, and public authorities. Projects must be located within the boundaries of the Delaware Estuary Coastal Zone or the Lake Erie Coastal Zone. - To address hazards, wetlands, public access, intergovernmental coordination, ocean resources, and nonpoint pollution.
