STATE PROGRAMS NOW OPEN FOR APPLICATIONS:
Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection: Small Business Advantage Grant Program (Funding Source: Recycling Fund & Hazardous Sites Cleanup Fund)
Who May Apply: Registered Pennsylvania for-profit businesses with 100 or fewer full-time equivalent employees and which are taxed as a for-profit business.
Use: To purchase energy efficient or pollution prevention equipment, or adopt waste reduction processes. Examples of eligible projects include HVAC and boiler upgrades, high-efficiency LED lighting, digital X-ray equipment, solvent recovery systems, water and waste recycling processes, auxiliary power units (APUs), and agricultural BMPs. Projects must save the small business a minimum of $500 and at least 25% annually in energy consumption or pollution related expenses. Natural resource protection projects must quantify the reduction of nitrogen, phosphorus and sediment loadings reaching the receiving waterway.
Funds: 50% matching reimbursement grants up to a maximum of $5,000.

Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources: ATV/Snowmobile Grants (Funding Source: ATV and Snowmobile Registrations)
Who May Apply: Municipalities, nonprofits, and for-profit organizations.
Use: Planning, land acquisition, development, rehabilitation, maintenance, equipment, and educational programs related to ATV and/or snowmobile trails and facilities.
Funds: No match required. However, applications that provide match funding will be given additional consideration.

Pennsylvania Department of Education: Office for Safe Schools’ Targeted Grants – 2021-22 Equipment Grant (Funding Source: General Fund – Safe Schools Initiative)
Who Can Apply: A public school district, charter school, cyber charter school, or career and technical center.
Use: Metal detectors; protective lighting; surveillance equipment; special emergency communications equipment including radios; electronic locksets, deadbolts, and theft control devices and training in the use of the security-related technology; and student, staff, and visitor swipe-card identification systems.
Funds: Up to $25,000 per school entity for the 2021-2022 school year. Please note: this is a competitive grant program.

Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection: Driving PA Forward – Truck and Bus Fleet Grant Program (Funding Source: State Mitigation Trust - Volkswagen Emissions Settlement)
Who May Apply: School districts, municipal authorities, political subdivisions, State agencies, nonprofit entities, corporations, limited liability companies or partnerships incorporated or registered in this Commonwealth, air quality or transportation organizations, and metropolitan or rural planning organizations.
Use: To replace or repower fleets of 6 or more Class 4-8 trucks, port drayage trucks, school buses, shuttle buses, and/or transit buses. May be powered by diesel, electric, or other alternative fuels.
Funds: Cost-share program, sliding percentage.

Pennsylvania Office of Commonwealth Libraries: Keystone Grants for Public Library Facilities (Funding Source: Keystone Recreation, Park and Conservation Fund)
Who May Apply: Local public libraries (state-aided). Must partner with a sponsoring municipality.
Use: To plan, acquire, construct, or rehabilitate public library facilities including, but not limited to: ADA upgrades, new roof, replacement windows, energy efficient upgrades to HVAC systems, facility expansion and new construction.
Funds: Grants up to $750,000. Grants require a dollar-for-dollar match; match may include cash, in-kind contributions, federal funds, and other state funds.

Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection: Driving PA Forward – Onroad Rebate Program – Trucks and Buses (Funding Source: State Mitigation Trust - Volkswagen Emissions Settlement)
Who May Apply: School districts, municipal authorities, political subdivisions, other State agencies, nonprofit entities, corporations, limited liability companies or partnerships incorporated or registered in this Commonwealth, air quality or transportation organizations, and metropolitan or rural planning organizations.
Use: Rebates for projects that replace or repower fleets of 5 or fewer class 4-8 trucks, port drayage trucks, school buses, shuttle buses, and/or transit buses with new clean diesel, electric, natural gas, propane or other alternative fuels vehicles.
Funds: Rebates vary based on type of vehicle. A single entity may be awarded no more than $500,000 in rebates.
Application Deadline: First-come, first-served until funds are expended or November 12 at 4 p.m., whichever occurs first.
