Human Services Committee Chair Kinsey applauds state budget

HARRISBURG, July 12 – PA House Human Services Committee Chair state Rep. Stephen Kinsey, D-Phila., offered the following remarks on the passage of this year’s state budget:

“As chair of the House Human Services Committee, I’m pleased to see this year’s state budget put forward the dollars needed to address some of our top priorities. Whether it’s providing services to address the mental health crisis, additional funding and resources for aides who assist individuals with intellectual disabilities, subsidizing child care services, or additional dollars to equitably and fairly fund our public schools, this budget takes positive steps to ensure the people of Pennsylvania are able to get needed services addressing urgent matters.

“As legislators, it’s our job to ensure we’re putting the people we represent first, and that is exactly why I proudly voted in favor of this budget.”
