It was a beautiful night for the Night Out On 9th Night Market. This event was a celebration with the residents, businesses and civic leaders who work together to make South Street one of Philadelphia’s most unique neighborhoods.

I was happy to attend a Groundbreaking Ceremony at Roman Catholic High School, in the Learning Commons, to celebrate the new STEM Center project.

While at Roman Catholic High School, I was able to stop by and present members of the football team, coaching and support staff citations for winning the PIAA 5A Football Championship. Way to go Cahillites!!

I was able to attend a dedication ceremony in Chinatown, as it was selected as a home for one of the specially designed replica Liberty Bells from America 250 PA’s “Bells Across PA” program.

On May 1st, I was happy to celebrate with the Philadelphia Chinatown Development Corporation (PCDC) for its 60th anniversary. The PCDC was founded in 1966 by Cecilia Moy Yep specifically to address the unique needs of Philadelphia’s Chinatown community.

I was happy to stop by the grand re-opening of Liberty Lands, a two-acre, multi-use community greenspace owned and maintained by the Northern Liberties neighborhood. I had the chance to speak with many neighbors and friends, and the playground renovations look amazing. Thanks to the Northern Liberties Neighbors Association for hosting.

Enjoyed participating in the dedication ceremony for the unveiling of the History of Chinatown: An enduring legacy mural. This piece honors the resilience, cultural heritage and contributions of the Philadelphia Chinatown community over generations.

Always happy to celebrate the Bainbridge Green park transformation project as it received an LSA grant to complete the green space restorations. Thanks to Councilmember Squilla, Sen. Saval and congratulations to QVNA.
