More than $735,000 awarded to reconstruct sidewalks on Herron, Larimer avenues

PITTSBURGH, March 26 – Sidewalks in the 24th Legislative District will undergo reconstruction, thanks to Rep. La’Tasha D. Mayes’ advocacy for funding from the Commonwealth Financing Authority.

The CFA awarded $735,026 to the City of Pittsburgh to reconstruct sidewalks on Herron and Larimer avenues.

“As Pittsburgh ranks in the top five largest U.S. cities for those who commute by walking, these investments make necessary strides toward repairing our city’s sidewalks,” Mayes said. “This reconstruction will ensure that all residents may access Pittsburgh, making it one of the best investments in our urban infrastructure.”

The Multimodal Transportation Fund provides grants to develop, rehabilitate, and enhance modes of transportation across Pennsylvania.
