STATE PROGRAMS NOW OPEN FOR APPLICATIONS:
Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection: Alternative Fuel Vehicle Rebates (Funding Source: Alternative Fuels Incentive Grants Fund)
Who May Apply: Pennsylvania residents who purchase/lease a new or used alternative fuel vehicle with a purchase price of $50,000 or less. Businesses are not eligible.
Use: To defray costs of purchasing a battery electric vehicle (BEV), hydrogen fuel cell vehicle (HFCV), plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, electric motorcycle, natural gas vehicle, or propane vehicle. Purchase price cannot exceed $50,000 to be eligible for a rebate.
Funds: Up to $1,000 rebate depending on type of vehicle; additional $1,000 rebate for low-income households.
Application Deadline: Rebates are first-come, first-served. Application must be submitted within 6 months of purchase.

Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture: Commonwealth Specialty Crop Block Grant Program (Funding Source: General Fund)
Who May Apply: State and local organizations, producer associations, academia, community-based organizations, and other stakeholders.
Use: To assist with the growth, certification of seed, and marketing of eligible crops including hemp, hardwoods, honey, and hops as well as barley, rye, and wheat for distilling, brewing, and malting purposes. Projects may include child and adult nutrition education, participation in international standard setting bodies, improving efficiency of distribution systems, good manufacturing and handling practices, research, development of seed varieties, and pest and disease control.
Funds: $460,000 will be distributed in total, with 6.2% going to low income rural areas and 3.8% going to low income urban areas.

- Any private non-profit agency, public agency, or unit of local government. - To support local jurisdictions in their efforts to reduce racial and ethnic disparities in Pennsylvania’s juvenile justice system through the hiring of a full time Racial and Ethnic Disparities (R/ED) Coordinator.

- Municipalities, counties, redevelopment authorities, housing authorities, economic development organizations, housing corporations, community development corporations, business improvement districts, neighborhood improvement districts, downtown improvement districts. - To revitalize/stabilize/grow neighborhoods and communities.
American Library Association: Libraries Transforming Communities - Focus on Small and Rural Libraries Program: September 16
- Libraries serving small communities and/or rural communities – To develop a community engagement project.
DEP Section 902 Recycling Implementation Grant: September 24 (Funding Source: Recycling Fund)
- Counties, cities, boroughs, incorporated towns, townships, home rule municipalities, councils of governments, consortiums or similar entities established by two or more municipalities. - To fund costs associated with developing and implementing a recycling program.
CFA Unserved High-Speed Broadband Funding Program: September 24 (Funding Source: General Fund)
- Any nongovernmental entity with the technical, managerial, and financial expertise to design, build and operate a high-speed broadband service infrastructure within Pennsylvania. - Acquisition, construction, equipment, and site preparation costs associated with the deployment of high-speed broadband infrastructure to unserved areas.

- Municipalities, nonprofits, and for-profit organizations. - Planning, land acquisition, development, rehabilitation, maintenance, equipment, and educational programs related to ATV and/or snowmobile trails and facilities.
PDE Office for Safe Schools’ Targeted Grants – 2021-22 Equipment Grant: October 1 (Funding Source: General Fund – Safe Schools Initiative)
- A public school district, charter school, cyber charter school, or career and technical center. - Metal detectors; protective lighting; surveillance equipment; special emergency communications equipment including radios; electronic locksets, deadbolts, and theft control devices and training in the use of the security-related technology; and student, staff, and visitor swipe-card identification systems.
