Hill-Evans announces grant for York County Libraries
HARRISBURG, Sept. 20 – State Rep. Carol Hill-Evans announced that the York County Libraries/Martin Library was awarded a state grant to help reconstruct its public restrooms.
The Keystone Library Grant of $233,834 will help the libraries throughout the county reconstruct its public restrooms. The funding was among $6.8 million in library grants awarded by the state Department of Education on Thursday.
“Our public libraries are a reliable resource that supplies information, recreation, literacy and life-long learning for all of our residents,” said Hill-Evans, D-York. “I am proud that the state has awarded these funds in order to keep our library systems in working order.”
Keystone Library Grants are competitive grants funded through the Keystone Recreation, Park and Conservation Fund. They must be matched dollar-for-dollar, and they can be used for projects such as HVAC upgrades, ADA upgrades, roof or window replacements, expansion projects and more.
