Rep. Jordan A. Harris March 17, 2021 | 10:26 AM
PHILADELPHIA, March 17 – State Rep. Jordan Harris, D-Phila., the House Democratic whip, joined 2nd District Philadelphia City Councilmember Kenyatta Johnson in releasing the following statement praising the increased availability of COVID-19 vaccines in the city due to the opening of a mass vaccine clinic at Grand Yesha Ballroom, located at 2308 Snyder Ave. in South Philadelphia:
“We know that Black and Brown communities have been disproportionately impacted by this pandemic, which makes it even more important that we get vaccines into these communities. One of the only ways to get over the historic mistrust of vaccinations that so many people we represent have is to connect our neighborhoods directly with the resources they need in places they trust.
“Grand Yesha Ballroom is such an important part of our community and we’re incredibly appreciative to them for hosting the vaccination clinic. We can’t think of a better place to host the city’s first mass vaccination clinic in South Philadelphia.”
