Last Tuesday, I was honored to once again take the oath of office - beginning my third term as State Representative. Serving the people and communities of the 152nd District is a privilege and a duty that I do not take lightly.
I am committed to advocating for the values and priorities that matter most to us as a community and to working tirelessly to ensure your voices are heard in Harrisburg!
Thank you for placing your trust in me. Together, we will build a brighter future.
Now let's get to work!

On Tuesday, the office staff was invited to Harrisburg to witness my Swearing-In Ceremony on the House Floor. My team is critical to my successes in Harrisburg and supporting constituents at home, and it meant a great deal to have them there with me for this special event.
Then it was on to the PA Farm Show, where they took in snuggling goats, butter sculptures, milkshakes, and everything in between. It was a fun day experiencing what our great state has to offer, and I’m thrilled they had a chance to experience it. The annual PA Farm Show runs for a week in Harrisburg and is always at the beginning of January. If you haven’t experienced it, mark your calendars for next year and plan a trip – it’s well worth the drive!

$1.6 Million in Parent Pathway Grant Funding Helps PA Parents Meet Their Higher Education Goals
|
|
The Shapiro Administration announced that it is providing more than $1.6 million in grant funding to help more Pennsylvania parents meet their higher-education goals. The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) invites eligible post-secondary institutions to apply for Parent Pathways grants of up to $150,000 to support parenting students with tuition assistance, emergency funding, and wrap-around services.
Studies indicate that one in five undergraduate college students is balancing the responsibilities of raising children while pursuing a postsecondary education, and almost half of these students do not earn a degree.
This is the second offering of the Parent Pathways grants. In May 2024, the PDE announced $1.7 million in grant funding to 12 colleges and universities across the Commonwealth to fund scholarships and programming for undergraduate students with children.
Making higher education affordable and accessible for all Pennsylvanians is a key priority!

Filing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
|
|
My staffer Laura's high school senior filed the FAFSA...Has your student filed theirs??
Most students receive some type of financial aid, so you should fill out a FAFSA® application even if you don't think you qualify. Some families assume they won't qualify for financial aid and don't even bother completing the FAFSA®. This could be a huge mistake.
Visit http://www.studentaid.gov to learn more about Financial Aid and to complete the FAFSA.
